The Sawpit Gully is a gorgy loop track through mostly open country. Start from the carpark near the Chinese Settlement in Arrowtown and follow the Arrow River Trail. This climbs above the Arrow River before you reach the signposted turn off to Sawpit Gully. It's a moderate 2-3 hour walk. https://www.arrowtown.com/trails/sawpit-gully-trail/
You can go for a chill and beautiful walk along the Arrow River. If you want some uphill, head up Tobins Track. https://www.arrowtown.com/trails/tobins-track/
If you have a spare afternoon, we'd recommend hiring some mountain e-bikes and popping between the wineries in Gibbston Valley. We love Chard Farm and Mt Rosa https://www.queenstownnz.co.nz/stories/post/exploring-gibbstons-wineries-and-cellar-doors/
